SUMMARY:Sacred Conversations: Connecting Faith and Health to Nourish Lives and Empower Communities
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Sacred Conversations as we host Kim Eshleman of Faithful Families.  \nFaithful Families believes that communities of faith are important health advocates\, particularly in communities affected by health disparities or lacking access to crucial resources. That’s why we are here to empower faith communities as they become changemakers in helping their communities thrive – physically\, mentally\, and spiritually. Faithful Families Thriving Communities (Faithful Families) works directly in communities of faith across the country to promote health for individuals\, families\, and local communities. \nWe will share more about our program’s efforts to engage and support communities of faith as they imagine and work toward their goals for healthy congregations and communities\, what we have learned from faith communities making changes to support health\, and dream together about how faith-health partnerships can grow to meet the needs of communities across our state. \nRegister here

SUMMARY:Sacred Conversations: Caretakers of Creation Part II: Faith and The Environment Q&A
DESCRIPTION:We are doing things a little differently for the second Sacred Conversations in our series on faith\, health and the environment. We invite you to join us as we hear from Sarah Ogletree\, Program Coordinator for North Carolina Interfaith Power and Light\, on her experiences working at the intersection of faith and the environment. What’s different? Sarah will answer questions from you; the questions you don’t want to ask\, or feel like it’s the wrong time to ask or the questions that you think will make you feel like the only one in the room who doesn’t know the right answers. \nAs we explore practical ways to engage with our environment as good caretakers our hope is that we can create a space and time where we all get to ask our questions out loud and share our collective knowledge. Bring your questions June 25 11 am and/or submit your questions early here. This Sacred Conversations is an extension of the newly updated Partners in Health and Wholeness Sustainability Pledge as we seek to highlight the intersection of health\, faith and the environment. \nClick here to register

SUMMARY:Sacred Conversations: Caretakers of Creation: A Vision for Shalom in Practical Ways
DESCRIPTION:What does it mean to be caretakers of creation when we ourselves are a part of creation\, and where do we start when we know that the environments in which we live greatly impact the health of our communities? How do we know what is most important in our advocacy efforts? How do we confront the structural injustices that disproportionately affect historically marginalized communities? Join us as we explore practical ways to engage with our environment as good caretakers in ways that increase our awareness of what we can do and how we can advocate as people of faith both individually and collectively. \nThis Sacred Conversations is an extension of the newly updated Partners in Health and Wholeness Sustainability Pledge as we seek to highlight the intersection of health\, faith and the environment. \n  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER
