DESCRIPTION:In solidarity with our neighbors around the world who are calling aloud from their balconies and rooftops across their neighborhoods and cities each evening\, the N.C. Council of Churches invites faith communities to ring out their prayers at noon on May 7\, National Day of Prayer\, 2020. \nWe imagine churches rural and urban\, large and small\, joining in 5 minutes of “Joyful Noise” as a witness to our belief that these bells will once again call us to worship together in the same space. DESCRIPTION:We have a lot to celebrate. This year marks the 85th Anniversary of the NC Council of Churches\, the 20th Anniversary of Interfaith Power & Light\, and the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day! Though we were originally planning to commemorate these milestones with an in-person event\, we are changing our plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. \nPlease join us on Monday\, April 20th\, from 5-6pm for a “Green Drinks” virtual happy hour on the North Carolina Council of Churches’ Facebook page! This event will include live music\, virtual door prizes\, great conversation\, and updates from our staff.
