DESCRIPTION:This Earth Day briefing will provide an overview of nuclear power and its prospects as an energy resource today. \nTim Judson of the Nuclear Information and Resource Service will explain the different types of nuclear power plants that Duke Energy and other utilities are considering\, and what their economic costs and environmental impacts would be. \nTim has been an analyst and watchdog of nuclear energy for over 27 years. He has been Executive Director of NIRS since 2014\, and has written several reports on nuclear energy. We hold employers accountable to keep workers safe. We demand action on critical safety and health protections against preventable workplace hazards. We demand more resources for our nation’s job safety agencies to hold employers accountable. We demand dignity at work.
