The Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church Salt & Pepper for Unity Senior Ministry has been promoting health and wholeness with a dash of fellowship and fun!
The ministry has been meeting monthly to complete crafts, cooking activities, and enjoy workshops addressing health of the mind, body and soul. Lead Pastor Thomas J. Horne attends a majority of the workshops, and the assistant Pastor provides transportation and begins the workshops with spiritual guidance and prayer. Some of the activities that have been completed in the past three years were cooking labs, arts and crafts, walking at the local park, and making stress balls. Following the workshops, a healthy meal is served, then everyone comes together to enjoy Bingo with a variety of useful and practical prizes. One of the local Nursing facilities brings 6-7 residents to enjoy this two-hour workshop as well.
