Get Inspired (…and Help Us Raise Money in the Process)!

January 27, 2012 by Aleta Payne, Former Deputy Executive Director

I am very excited to share with you an online storytelling initiative that has just launched, called Inspired. A program of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) Foundation, Inspired is telling the stories of select individuals and organizations from across the state that are making a positive impact in their communities.  And the NC Council of Churches’ Partners in Health and Wholeness Initiative is among them!

Perhaps even more exciting is the opportunity for us to benefit beyond just participation, and we’ll need your help.

Please take a minute to visit the Inspired website and click on the image associated with our work. (You will find my picture at the bottom of the page in the center.)  Watch our story and then share it via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail using the icons on the site. Each time you share our story or any of the others, BCBSNC Foundation will invest $1 into the work of the featured organizations, including ours.

So, I encourage you to help spread the word, to learn about and tell others of the great work that is happening all across North Carolina.

Be well.

About Aleta Payne, Former Deputy Executive Director

Aleta Payne first joined the Council staff in the spring of 2001 as the Communications Associate. She continues to oversee that work along with development, represents the Council in several partnership efforts, and serves in other administrative roles, as well. Aleta is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in government and foreign affairs and spent much of her early career as a journalist. She has three young adult sons who continue to come home to Cary for dinner, or at least groceries, and two young adult terrier-mix dogs who keep the nest from feeling too empty.
