David Price is a multi-faceted person. In addition to representing the 4th Congressional District in the US House of Representatives, he has taught political science and public policy at Duke University. He is also an active and faithful member of Binkley Memorial Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, one of the Council’s eight member congregations.
His religious roots run deep. He attended Mars Hill College (a school with Baptist ties), was elected president of the Baptist Student Union for the state of North Carolina during his college days, and earned a degree in theology from the Yale Divinity School. You can see many of these facets at work in a sermon he preached at Binkley last Sunday. I recommend it to you, for reading and reflection, during this Fourth of July week.
