Registration for the Council’s 2014 Critical Issues Seminar on Public Education with a guaranteed lunch has been extended for those who do not require a gluten-free or vegan meal. Those registrations must be submitted online by 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 12.
The seminar takes place Monday, June 16, 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m., at United Church of Chapel Hill, 1321 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Chapel Hill. Check in begins at 8:15 so that we can begin promptly.
Registration is ongoing for anyone who does not require that a meal be provided and that can take place online by 4 p.m. on Friday or in person on the morning of the seminar at United Church.
The seminar provides the opportunity to join like-minded people of faith and a superb list of presenters committed to a prophetic vision for North Carolina’s public schools.
A full program with workshops and presenters is available here. The day will feature worship, a plenary session, a roundtable discussion, more than a dozen workshop options, and a closing affirmation of teachers by the host pastors. The cost with lunch is $25; a reduced registration fee of $15 is available for students and educators. Without lunch, the fee is $15; $5 for students and educators.
Attendees are invited to bring a food donation for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Backpack Buddies program.
