By Nicole Johnson, Strive to Revive Assistant
The Strive to Revive (STR) Maintenance Grant Program is now open. This program is focused on providing resources, technical support, and financial assistance to congregations who have previously received an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) through the Strive To Revive Program. The deadline to apply is February 29.
While the STR Maintenance Grant Program is limited to STR grantees, we invite all congregations to visit our Strive to Revive Resource Page. Our resource page provides information that can be utilized by all congregations to develop an AED program for their places of worship. These resources include an AED maintenance budget worksheet, links to ownership manuals, options to consider in making decisions about ordering replacement components for AEDs, options for scheduling CPR/AED training, and educational videos.
Congregations who have been participants in our Strive to Revive Program are invited to use this link to apply for our Strive to Revive maintenance grant. This is a one-time program to help cover some of the costs of replacement parts (i.e. pads and batteries), the cost of AED and CPR training and certification, and/or the cost of medical direction, as needed. Congregations who wish to receive a hard copy of the application can do so by contacting us. Additional information is available on our website, by emailing strivetorevive@ncchurches.org, or calling 336-912-0976.
We understand that maintenance costs may be a burden to congregations and are excited to continue our Strive to Revive partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina by sponsoring your initial AED maintenance and providing resources for your AED maintenance plan with the continued support of The American Red Cross.
