Join us for a vigil and press conference that aims to bring attention to recent developments and losses in the farmworker community. These losses have a significant impact and highlight the fact that there are no health and safety standards in place for farmworkers who work in hot and humid conditions. Prompted by the death of farmworker Jose Arturo Gonzalez on September 5th due to what is believed to be heat-related illness, farmworker advocates are urging the North Carolina Growers Association and NC Department of Labor to take immediate action. Join us this Friday, November 3, at the Bicentennial Plaza in Raleigh.
