Workers Memorial Day 2019

Safe jobs are the right of every worker, and the 183 people who died on the job in 2017 – the most recent year for which the total count of workplace fatalities is known – is evidence that the NC Department of Labor must do more to protect working people.

Join us in Raleigh for a press conference and solemn memorial service during which participants will toll a bell 183 times and call for the state Department of Labor to do more to prevent workplace injuries and fatalities. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear black to honor those who have died.
