About Willona Stallings, Former Program Coordinator – Partners in Health & Wholeness

Partners in Health and Wholeness (PHW) connects congregations with existing resources in the community and provides them with the tools necessary (sometimes in the form of mini-grants) to implement healthier practices, policies and programs. I live in Raleigh and enjoy good food, area greenways and bargain shopping.

My Church, Second Chance Christian Fellowship is a PHW Church and we are so proud of our relationship with this organization.
It has been such a blessing to us. With the support, we have been able to create a healthy eating atmosphere and plant gardens.
We have also become partners with other churches to help encourage healthy eating habits.

Thank you so much for all you do for this community and ultimately the world to encourage healthy eating.

Thank you, Dr. Spearman! It’s our pleasure to support congregations like yours – congregations that acknowledge our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit and that strive to improve the health of their members. God bless!

    Willona:

Crown In Glory is one of your Gold Level Churches. Thank you so very much for your support in helping us work toward a healthier congregation. I have the commitment of our Pastor, my co-coordinator and several members of our congregation to attend the Summit. We will use the last of our grant to pay for member’s registration fees.

    Thanks to PHW for everything,

    Patricia J, Ricks

Wonderful! We look forward to seeing you on October 10. And please note that because your church is PHW-certified, two people from your congregation can attend the conference for free. However, I think it’s a great idea to use a portion of your mini-grant to cover the cost of registration for any others. Thanks for all you do!

MT. Zion Baptist Church has been blessed by the partnership with Partners in Health & Wholeness.
We are a PHW-certified congregation(Gold) and the resources have been very helpful to us in maintaining and making our ministry much more successful. I plan to attend the Faith & Health Summit
as well as encourage members of our Health Ministry to attend
“To God Be the Glory for the great things he has done through PHW.”

My church, Knollwood Baptist, is a PHW church and your program has helped our congregation.

I would like to bring one of our ministers to the Faith and Health Summit.

    Many thanks,

Thank you, Anne, for your support! We’d be delighted to have both you and a minister at your church join us for this year’s Faith & Health Summit. And because you’re a PHW-certified congregation, you can skip payment. God bless!
