Online Community for Faithful Climate-Change Activists

March 11, 2013 by Allison Reeves Jolley, Former Outreach Coordinator - NCIPL

Are you interested in what other faith-based communities are doing in terms of climate change? Do you want to invite them to your events? Do you have questions that others might be able to answer, such as how they started their congregational garden or what they do in terms of recycling?

NCIPL is creating a series of regional listservs to help you connect with other people of faith working to respond to climate change.

If you live in the Charlotte or Triangle regions of North Carolina, that is where the first two listservs will be, so request to join today!

By joining the online group, you will be able to send and receive emails to and from the group, as well as to and from individual group members. No personal information, other than your name and email address will be accessible to the group.

If you would like to join one of the NCIPL’s regional listservs, please do the following:

1. If you do not have one, create a google account or register your current email account with google so that you will be able to access this listserv. You should check that account regularly, or forward that account’s emails to your primary account, so that you receive the emails from this group.

2. Send an email to northcarolinaipl@gmail.com with “Join: <<your region>>” in the header, and specify the account address from which you will be accessing the group emails (please make sure the account address you provide is either a gmail account or one registered with google).

North Carolina Interfaith Power & Light (NCIPL)  is a program of the North Carolina Council of Churches. NCIPL works with faith communities to address the causes and consequences of global climate change and promote practical, hope-filled responses through education, outreach, and public policy advocacy. Please visit our website for information on our current programs, campaigns, and events.
