Alternative Giving — Support the Council

December 9, 2016 by Aleta Payne, Former Deputy Executive Director

For a holiday shopping list filled with more hope and less stuff, consider making a gift to the Council. You can donate on behalf of the faithful advocate for social justice in your life, and we will acknowledge your alternative gift with a letter to them along with a Council “Separating Church and Hate Since 1935” bumper sticker.

If you are giving online, please note Alternative Gift under Designation and then provide us with the recipient’s name and USPS address under Dedication. If you’d prefer they not receive the bumper sticker, we can still acknowledge your gift if you will provide us with their name and email.

If you are donating via USPS, please include a note with the recipient’s name and USPS or email address to NCCC, 27 HORNE Street, Raleigh, NC, 27607.

We will mail acknowledgements to all alternative gift recipient’s prior to Christmas if the donation is received in our office by December 21. Gifts received after that date will be acknowledged following the holiday.

If you have any questions, please contact Andrew Hudgins, andrew@ncchurches.org, or Aleta Payne, aleta@ncchurches.org, or at 919-828-6501.

As we look ahead to 2017, a gift of hope can send a powerful message. Your generosity on behalf of others will support the Council’s work for justice, peace and unity.

About Aleta Payne, Former Deputy Executive Director

Aleta Payne first joined the Council staff in the spring of 2001 as the Communications Associate. She continues to oversee that work along with development, represents the Council in several partnership efforts, and serves in other administrative roles, as well. Aleta is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in government and foreign affairs and spent much of her early career as a journalist. She has three young adult sons who continue to come home to Cary for dinner, or at least groceries, and two young adult terrier-mix dogs who keep the nest from feeling too empty.
