From its founding more than 75 years ago, the NC Council of Churches has worked toward Christian unity, and we are proud to join with our members in celebrating the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity from January 18-25.
The Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute has prepared material for this year’s celebration. You will find prayer services, prayers of the faithful and musical suggestions at their website.
The theme for 2013 is “What Does God Require of Us?” (cf. Micah 6:6-8).
In North Carolina, there will be several observances of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, including:

Resurrection United Methodist Church

The Most Reverend Michael Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh, and the Rev. Hope Morgan Ward, Resident Bishop, United Methodist Church of North Carolina, will participate in an Ecumenical Service of the Word along with other clergy. The Cathedral of Saint Patrick
