November 15, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Free

According to the American Public Health Association, gun violence has become a major public health issues in the United States. More than 85,000 people are affected by gun-related injuries per year, and nearly 38,000 people die due to gun-related violence.

Join us for a day long summit on the status of gun violence prevention legislation at the national and North Carolina level and, more importantly, the potential for change in the upcoming legislative sessions. We will spend the day problem-solving and discussing solutions of what we can do, and how we can engage together with the legislature to prevent gun violence and its effects.

This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided, but you must RSVP.  Click here to register.

Funding made possible by the Center for American Progress. Co-sponsors include Moms Rising, North Carolinians Against Gun Violence (NCGV), and Action NC.
