You Can’t Blockade Hope in Cuba

Join Witness for Peace Southeast and the North Carolina Council of Churches at First Presbyterian Church in Durham to hear from Alicia Sevila Hidalgo with the Martin Luther King Center in Havana, Cuba. Alicia will speak about US-Cuba Relations and newly proposed changes to the Cuban constitution.

This speakers tour is an opportunity to learn more about the history of US Policy in Cuba and its recent changes. We will also discuss solidarity movements with the people of Cuba and what we can do to promote human-centered US economic and political policies towards Cuba.

Pupusas made by Rosa del Carmen Ortez Cruz, a women who is in sanctuary at Church of Reconciliation, will be served for lunch. These pupusas will be $5 for 2. Please bring cash only.
