The Council Visits Asheville

Join Council staff and friends for a light breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by welcoming remarks by Bishop Porter Taylor, Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina at 9. Executive Director George Reed will provide an update on the Council’s work for social justice, then choose up to two break-out sessions focused on specific areas of work:

  • Creation Care led by NCIPL Director Susannah Tuttle
  • Legislative Advocacy led by George Reed
  • Farmworkers and Immigration led by Program Associate Jennie Wilburn
  • Improving the Health of Clergy and Congregants led by Partners in Health and Wholeness Coordinator Willona Stallings

Visit with old friends, make new ones, and leave with resources for you and your faith community.

Please park in the front lot closest to I-240 and enter through the chapel doors.
