Gun Violence Prevention Summit

March 19, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

According to the American Public Health Association, gun violence has become a major public health issue in the United States. More than 85,000 people are affected by gun-related injuries per year, and nearly 38,000 people die due to gun-related violence.

Join us for a continuation of the summits we held in November and January on the status of gun violence prevention legislation at the national and North Carolina level. Whether you were able to attend either of those two meetings or not, you’re welcome to join us at this summit and connect with one of the following working group areas: Domestic Violence, School Safety, Community Safety, and Suicide and Mental Health.

This event is free and open to the public, but please be sure to register below.

Funding made possible by the Center for American Progress. Co-sponsors include Moms Rising, North Carolinians Against Gun Violence (NCGV), and Action NC.
