Interfaith Prayer Vigil for Gun Violence Prevention

FreeThe second annual Interfaith Prayer Vigil for Gun Violence Prevention is being organized by Wilmington Faiths Against Gun Violence in alliance with some thirty local faith communities and organizations, including the NC Council of Churches. The vigil is part of the National Sabbath Weekend for Gun Violence Prevention, begun four years ago after the Sandy Hook massacre. The vigil program includes prayers led by local clergy and lay people, a poetic reading by Moms-N-Mourning a local victims survivor group, and the lighting of candles in remembrance of all shooting victims.
Musical prelude begins at 5:30 and the vigil starts at 6.
