While the U.S. does not condone torture, it has become clear that torture has been done by our citizens and in our name. The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) has adopted a 6,000-page report on U.S. treatment of detainees in the post-9/11 period and will soon be deciding whether to make this report public. By doing so, the U.S. will display moral integrity to the world and show the respect due to all human life. Join with other people of faith from around our state who are asking NC Senator Richard Burr, a member of the SSCI, to support the release of the report. To read the letter, click here.
