North Carolina’s in-person early voting begins October 15, the same day we gather for this training. With early voting underway and Election Day just weeks away, this is a moment to move from concern to preparation.
This practical training will equip clergy and congregational leaders with tools to:
- Prepare congregations to support access to the ballot
- Understand the role of poll chaplains and peacemakers
- Conduct research meetings with local election officials
- Prepare for election-related needs and questions in their communities
- Develop a plan for responsible organizing in the weeks following Election Day
- Name concrete commitments for their congregation’s next four weeks
