The Council’s 2015 Legislative Seminar is about a month away, and we have an exciting program of preachers, workshops, and presenters planned.
If you’ve already registered to be with us, thank you and we look forward to seeing you on April 14. If you haven’t registered, please do so by April 7 in order to guarantee lunch. Either way, we hope you’ll help us get the word out to other progressive people of faith. You can find a color flyer here or a program and registration form here to print and share with others. Registration is also available online.
We’d love for our faithful regulars to introduce a friend to the Seminar and to bring them along for what promises to be an inspiring day of fellowship and advocacy building.
What: 20015 Legislative Seminar — three workshop sessions led by experts in the field on everything from the challenges facing public higher education and voting rights, to gerrymandering and Medicaid expansion
When: April 14, 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.)
Where: Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, 110 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary
Why: Progressive people of faith must be advocates for the programs and services that make North Carolina a welcoming and safe place for all. We are called to be voices for the vulnerable and for a truly representative state. The Seminar will provide critical information for that advocacy.
The cost is $15 for students, $25 for all others, and includes a light breakfast (underwritten by our Partners in Health and Wholeness Program) and boxed lunch prepared by the Interfaith Food Shuttle’s Catering with a Cause.
We look forward to seeing you on April 14.
